Aaron's Career

Aaron's career began in the early 2000's as a web developer creating brochure websites in Western Pennsylvania. He honed his engineering skills building Content Management Systems and modifying Commercial Off The Shelf (COTS) shopping carts using various languages and technologies.

During the evenings and weekends, while employed as a software engineer, he built an SEO friendly shopping cart which addressed some of the gaps in the existing shopping carts in the marketplace. He sold the shopping cart to several clients and relocated to Southern California where he continued building and enhancing his shopping cart system.

In 2008 Aaron relocated to Minnesota and joined FUN.com as CTO and silent partner. He helped grow the bootstrapped company from less than $1 million in revenue to tens-of-millions of dollars in annual revenues in just a few years. The company experienced hyper growth - hired hundreds of full time employees and thousands of temporary seasonal employees. FUN.com owns online costume retailer HalloweenCostumes.com.

After several winters in Minnesota, Aaron relocated back to Southern California. For half-a-decade he oversaw the construction of several classified US Department of Defense (DoD) systems. As cloud technologies emerged he transitioned into consulting where he managed globally distributed engineering teams for some clients and worked as an individual contributor for others, building cloud native applications.

After a short stint living in Western Pennsylvania again, he relocated to warm Southwest Florida. Today, Aaron provides technical leadership to some of the largest enterprises in the world. He works with GenAI, builds applications, cloud infrastructures, and mentors the next generation of engineers and technical leaders.
